Job Description
 
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance & Accounting Manager to take ownership of the company’s financial and accounting operations in Spain. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with Spanish tax regulations, and strong financial control within a fast-paced, project-driven production environment.
 
The Accounting Manager, reporting to the Group CFO, will work closely with the CEO and leadership team, providing reliable financial insights while handling sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.

This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work remotely

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Own the preparation and accuracy of monthly financial statements (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Manage and monitor cash flow forecasting
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including invoices, purchase orders, and vendor management
  • Supervise bookkeeping activities to ensure timely and accurate accounting records
  • Prepare monthly cost reports (payroll, freelancers, licences, vendors, etc.) and track deviations vs. budget
  • Lead fiscal planning and tax compliance in Spain, including tax rebate processes and filings
  • Ensure proper financial documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with local regulations
  • Support the local CEO and Group's CFO with financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making
  • Identify and implement improvements in accounting and financial processes
 
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles (5+ years preferred), ideally in Spain
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish  and International accounting standards (IFRS) and tax regulations

  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with ERP systems or accounting software
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
 
Nice to have
 
  • Experience in project-based environments (VFX, production, media, tech, etc.)
  • Familiarity with production accounting or budgeting
  • Understanding of tax incentives / rebates in Spain (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Italian language is a plus
