22DOGS, a company in the VFX sector with studios in Milan and Tenerife, is looking for an experienced IT Manager to join our dynamic and growing team in Milan. Our environment is international, technologically advanced and constantly evolving, offering a stimulating workplace. 
 
Position Overview

As the IT Manager, you will oversee the IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. You will play a key role in enhancing our technology capabilities to support our production team effectively. This role involves both strategic planning and hands-on management of our IT systems.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Technology Analysis & Improvement: Evaluate and enhance the studio's hardware and software to maximize production efficiency.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee network infrastructure, ensuring seamless remote access and robust cybersecurity measures.
  • System Coordination: Manage a mixed operating system environment (80% Windows, 15% Linux, 5% Mac) and handle user network management using LDAP.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers for new technologies and manage existing suppliers.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct analyses for workflow changes to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Cybersecurity: Implement measures to protect against external threats and maintain comprehensive user-side logging.
  • Scripting & Programming: Utilize your scripting skills (Bash, Windows Batch, Powershell) and medium to advanced proficiency in Python to streamline processes.
 
Minimum Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the IT sector.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Extensive knowledge of network infrastructure and its various components
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems (Debian-based and RH-based).
  • Strong scripting skills in multiple environments.
  • Knowledge of HTTP/REST services, LDAP, and databases (Postgres and Mongo).
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Experience in the VFX industry and familiarity with DCC software like Maya, Houdini, Nuke through to dispatchers like Deadline.
  • Previous experience in engineering IT infrastructures and storage systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
